Is your skin dry, dehydrated or both and how to tell the difference?
Dry skin is a skin type deficient in oil (sebum) and feels dry all over. Susceptible to flakiness, redness and irritation, dry skin feels rough and can be prone to eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. Dry skin requires daily replenishment from emollient rich oil-based skincare products. Water based serums and hydrators should also be incorporated for the ultimate dry skin remedy.
Dehydrated skin is a skin condition lacking in water and can affect all skin types, even oily skin. Dehydrated skin often appears dull, can feel tight and itchy as well as exacerbating the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, making us look older. The best solution to recover from dehydrated skin is to use water-based skincare products.
